What are Facial Fillers?

Facial fillers, such as Juvederm® or Restylane®, are made up of hyaluronic acid materials that are injected under the skin. They add fullness and restore volume to severe facial folds and wrinkles; often lasting several months. Unlike Botox®, which eliminates wrinkles by temporarily paralyzing the muscle causing the contraction, facial fillers restore lost volume to areas such as the chin, cheeks and lips.

How are Facial Fillers Performed?

All facial filler procedures are conducted at our Maumee office. While they are minimally invasive procedures, you may request a topical anesthetic be applied to minimize any discomfort. Your technician will use a tiny needle to inject your facial filler of choice into the treatment area, effectively filling the lines, wrinkles, scars and other imperfections.
